What is one (or some) of your favorite Quotes/Podcasts/Books?

The Sleepwalkers: How Europe Went to War in 1914 This book shows the importance of structure and foundation for complicated organization. Thousands of people across the world made hard but logical decisions that they were forced into due to bad decisions made by long dead men. An illuminating look at the cause of one of the world’s greatest tragedies.

Who is an innovator (founder, investor, businessman, scientist, etc.) that you admire?

Malcom McLean invented the modern shipping container. His solution was relatively simple but he was able to see a problem where everyone else saw “the way it had always been done”. His contribution changed the world and led to a boom in international trade that the world is still benefiting from.

Name a startup, app, or piece of technology that you’re especially fond of and why.

I am especially fond of Venmo. Venmo was able to establish trust with millions of people while transforming their day to day lives. Everyone saw the problem with cash payment but Venmo was the first to truly fix it.

What excites you about working for/with Bricleir? What are you hoping to gain from this experience?

Bricleir is unique because it is at the center of large and small innovation enablers. I am excited to meet and learn from the incredible Bricleir network.
